Monday Morning Meditation STEEPED in One Thousand Gifts…

Monday Morning Meditation STEEPED in One Thousand Gifts…

Isaiah 30_15, Monday Morning Meditation, OneThousand Gifts, 1000 Gifts, Multitudes on Mondays, Ann Voskamp

 Salvation.

The act of being rescued, saved.

It’s believing HIS sacrifice was enough, satisfying.

We are saved from the abyss ~ eternal separation from HIM~  and from ourselves.

In and of ourselves, weakness and uncertainty, work and effort reign.

When we turn to Him, our backs to the mirror, we find salvation.

Our reflection doesn’t save.

Our ability doesn’t save.

We are incapable of saving ourselves.

A pivoting 180 is where we see salvation face-to-face.

Our efforts are silly.  Our attempts are foolish.

We cannot save self.

Only HE can save self, ourselves.

Through surrender, yielding to HIM, welcoming the gift of salvation, we find ourselves.

The selves He envisioned and designed.

An ourselves mirrored, seeing His reflection instead of our own.

Once we acquiescence our lives, settle into our new life, strength comes.

A supernatural strength is enabled as we rest in complete dependence upon Him.

Salvation, strength, satisfaction.

A satisfying life, one given way to Him, rescued, restored, relaxed.

End Bible poverty? Is that what it sounds like? Teaching the Word of God to others? I think that’s a great goal and aspiration. I’m surprised to hear people who claim to be a Christian and yet don’t read the Word on a regular basis.

Thank you for this reminder!! Just this morning seeking some scripture for my day and the challenge I am facing… He spoke to me loudly…. “Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 …HE IS ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING NEW… not me… I cannot in myself do anything new! I must ALLOW HIM to do it in me!! When I read “complete dependence on (Him)” I thought.. OK LORD. In order for me to change I must allow you to work… and only then will a new thing come forth.!
