Five Minute Friday: Join

Five Minute Friday: Join

Here’s what we do on Fridays…

  • After receiving Lisa-Jo’s prompt, we write for 5 minutes flat ~ no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
  • Then, we link back here, inviting others to join in.
  • Finally, and there are absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community.
Philippians, Five Minute Friday, Faith Filled Friday Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Join.

Will you join me in pursuing a life lived authentically and transparently?

Vulnerability accompanies.

It’s removing the masks, revealing the truth ~ the truth of who we are.

When the masks are removed, real life begins.

Living life together, an honest, raw life ~ no pretense, no hiding, no excuses.

Living openly and honestly is freeing. (Like it? Tweet it.)

It allows us to walk out the door fearless, instead of fearful.

It allows us to speak up boldly, instead of timidly.

It allows us to smile honestly, instead of hiding skeptically.

Will you join me?

He began the work.

Let’s allow Him to finish it.

Stop

Wow, how many times do I not allow God to finish His work that He started because of my own will and plans. I hear I thought I was just in for some wonderful encouragement and you’ve gone and laid down a challenge. Powerful words in their simplicity. Thanks!!

    • StefanieYoungBrown

Thank you, Amy:))) As ideal as out plans are, they simply “aren’t” if they are not his.
      Challenges are me (wink)…

  • Denise Oldham

raw..transparent… may we all be prepared to be gracious, for in the rawness of messy sticky life people often don’t know how to respond. :)

    • StefanieYoungBrown

You’re right, Lisa! So many have lived hidden for so long, most don’t know how to react when someone chooses to live truly authentic life. We can lead the way to freedom:)
Thank you for visiting and commenting…

  • StefanieYoungBrown

Amen, Loni!! We can do this:)))

  • StefanieYoungBrown

Amen, Elizabeth!! I really God is working in our hearts deeply. Step our from behind the masks, be who He designed us to be and live life together and to the fullest.
Thank you for your visit and comment! You’ve blessed me…

  • http://www.alifesanctified.com/ Felecia

Can you stand one more comment? Those who are living in Christ are most ready to live intentionally honest and true and raw. Even people who know me will tell me what to say in a particular situation to say this or that and I just stand there looking at them. “Why don’t I just tell them the truth?” I’ll ask. I get back blank stares and crickets. Once you’re in Christ, how can you live any other way?
    Blessings,
    Felecia

    • StefanieYoungBrown

Yes, I can certainly stand it:)))
We can’t live any other way, my friend!!!
      Thankful for you…

  • Debbie Petras

Yes, I will join you in taking off our masks and being honest. I remember several years ago when I was on the leadership team for our denomination’s women’s conference. We were inviting Liz Curtis Higgs to be our speaker and were trying to decide the main topic. I kept saying “let’s get real” but some of the other women were hesitant. They asked Liz how she felt about that and she said an emphatic YES. She did the best job too. I love when Christian women can be real!

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

    • StefanieYoungBrown

      Welcome, Debbie!!
Oh, Liz Curtis Higgs!! I rode a plane with her shortly ago and she’s a trip I think is an absolute treat and especially good addressing this subject. I, too, love it when Christian women can be real.
Have a great evening, my friend.
