{683 ~ Rescued by the Living Water}
{Cave off Kilauea Point, Kauai, Hawaii}
For nine incredible days my husband and I basked in the beauty of Hawaii. However, our perfectly time vacation (the first since our honeymoon 10 years ago), served a higher purpose than simply a sightseeing, activity experiencing get away. It proved a divinely ordained moment, a moment specifically orchestrated by Him for us.
In the weeks leading up to our crossing the Pacific en route to an earthly paradise, we faced the second most challenging period in our ministry. It was during this stretch I found myself slipping on emotionally jagged rocks. Not only did the rocks scrape, scratch and cut my emotional foundation, the stones above me began messing with my head. It wasn’t long before the cave’s darkness engulfed me. It was palpable. It absorbed me.
Then God…
{684 ~ The Living Water, as a waterfall and right on cue, gushed in, reviving my soul, my spirit.}
{685 ~ “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”}
Psalm 121:1,2 (NIV)
I looked up, lifted my eyes, and welcomed His help.
