I’m heading to our DFW in(RL) meeting at my sweet friend, MamaHall’s house. While there, I’ll meet up with precious friends, Leigh Dusek from Funky Faith Girl, Christy Sanchez from Devotional Mama and Jana Driggers from Grace for My Mess. In addition, I’m thrilled and excited to meet new friends who are attending.
The idea of in(RL) is to build community ~ a community of online and in real life friends to walk alongside through this life while focusing on the next. We were not designed to live life alone.
The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” (Genesis 2:18, NIV)
We were designed for relationships, community.
Yesterday, women (some in community, others seeking it) watched the in(RL) introductory video. They shared the importance of community and why it is a must. Here are some “tweets” from last nights 8pm viewing:

By nature, I’m an introvert who struggles reaching out. In addition, my fear of rejection has kept me, stopped me from initiating friendships. Through the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, I’ve learned to live above my nature in both areas and seek friendships, both online and in(RL). I can’t adequately put into words how seeking and developing these relationships has changed me. May He be glorified!
Relationships are vital. Need a friend? Start with me.
