Current Rules For Self Discovery…

My CURRENT Rules For Self Discovery…

1.  What do I want most?

  • To faithfully follow Him ~ anytime, anywhere…
  • Love and honor my husband while walking submissively, not inferiorly, alongside him, supporting him, encouraging him and inspiring him…
  • Teach my son Biblical principles with which to live, live them out consistently in front of him, making sure he knows and feels love and safety…

2.  What do I think about most?

  • Rest…
  • Writing…
  • Serving…

3.  How do I use my money?

  • Tithes/Offerings/Mission Projects…
  • Clothes/Jewelry/Accessories…
  • Books on Kindle…

4.  What do I do with my leisure time?

  • Read…
  • Write…
  • Volunteer at my son’s school…

5.  Whose company do I enjoy?

  • My husband’s company…
  • My fabulous, faithful CCBM family…
  • My inspiring, encouraging online community sisters and friends…

6.  Who or what do I admire?

  • My husband…
  • Too many online sisters to name…
  • Any Missionary on any field…
  • Single Mothers…

7.  What causes me to laugh?

  • Commercial spoofs created by friends…
  • Barney Fife…
  • The funny antics of my little man…
  • Hearing my 82-year old mother speak of a date with her 88-year old boyfriend (they’re hilarious)…

So, there it is ~ my CURRENT rules for self discovery.

As I write, I remember…

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

    Honestly, I haven’t given self-discovery a thought.  I guess I should think about that.

Haha… I ran across the quote and thought, “Hey, I’ll do that and use that.”

I think I’ll share “Who or What Do I Admire?”
    1) My husband (of course). He’s so diligent in completing everything he sets his hand to do.
    2) My oldest daughter for standing up for her courtship (wedding coming in a few months) because of its uniqueness.
    3) All of my many godly sisters (online and at our new church home) that I’ve met this past year!

What great rules for self-discovery. What makes me laugh? My boys’
jokes. Watching a funny movie with my husband and him laughing. Movies
are just funnier with him. Have a joy-filled, blessing-filled Christmas

This is a great “list”. I think I may need to sit through this, I can see some great joy and peace and conviction coming out of it. Thanks for sharing it, I love reading how others are growing and living their life for God! (visiting from TPT)

I agree, Lauren.  I pondered each question carefully and was surprised how “thought provoking” each was.

Thank you for visiting, sweet friend…
